Husk Home began in 2019 with a simple idea - a love for beautiful, thoughtfully made things and a desire to share them with others.

Founder Lysandra created Husk in Kaikōura, inspired by her Siberian Husky Kodah (her loyal sidekick through many seasons of life). The name Husk comes from him, while Home reflects what the store has always aimed to be - a welcoming space filled with pieces you genuinely love living with.

From the beginning, Husk was never about filling shelves. It was about carefully choosing products - many handmade by talented New Zealand makers - and giving them space to be appreciated.

Today, Husk Home curates a collection of homewares, gifts and children’s pieces - all chosen for their quality, design and the small details that make a house feel like home.

Over the years the brand has grown from its Kaikōura roots to Christchurch, building a wonderful community of customers who share that appreciation for beautiful things and thoughtful design.
